Pakistanis are among the 59 dead in the Italian boat disaster.

 

ROMA: A wooden sailing boat transporting migrants crashed against rocks on the southern Italian coast early on Sunday, killing 59 people, including some children.

The boat, which had been carrying migrants from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, and other nations when it left Turkiye a few days prior, capsized in rough waters close to Steccato di Cutro, a seaside resort on Calabria's eastern coast.
